Objectives of the SWCA for 2007

• Secure passage of a  Farm Bill which maintains the policy concepts found in Title 1 of the 2002 Farm Bill.
• Prevent the  Farm Bill from restricting the ownership and marketing of livestock.
• Be active politically.
• Further establish the SWCA as a stable and lasting organization to serve agribusiness in this region of the United States.
• Plan and hold the first Annual Meeting of the SWCA
• Begin education efforts to convey the positive aspects of U.S. and southwest agriculture to policy makers and the general public.
