Objectives of the SWCA for 2008

• Once passed, be prepared to immediately defend the farm bill from those who will use the appropriations or budget process to undermine its effectiveness.
• Monitor the implementation of the new farm bill.
• Explore the establishment of a SWCA Political Action Committee (PAC)
• Develop consensus and action plans on other farm policy issues.
• Expand the membership and resource base of the SWCA
• Support agricultural research funding.
